This article dicusses the retirement of Bruce Bowen. He was a proffessional basketball who played 12 season with the San Antonio Spurs. During his tenure in the league he has won 3 championships with the Spurs and built a reputation as one of the NBA's best defensive players. He announced his retirement days after he was traded from the Spurs because of the team's desire to rebuild their franchise with newer faces and look towards the future.
I decided to write about this aticle because he is one of my favorite defenders in the league. I like to watch him shut down the top scoring players in the league such as Kobe Bryant and Tracy Mcgrady, especially during the Spurs championship years. Even though he wasen't one of the important players on the team, he always did the littlest things in attempts to help his team win.
